MoZAICS Capstone Project Track A: Visitor Engagement

I recently finished the MoZAICS Track A course through AZA. My project pertained to social stories and visual + plain language signage for the animal experiences currently offered under the Guest Engagement umbrella.
​
I created social stories for KC Zoo's Goatyard, which included both feeding and touch experiences, as well as social stories for both of the aquarium touch pools. The visual + plain language signage included both touch pools and the goat feeding experience.
​
This project is considered continuous, and is currently in the review stages.

Multiple Program Standard Operating Procedures and Reference Sheets, & Scout Night Curricula
​
I written a multitude of SOPs and created reference documents for onsite programming; Similarly, I've generated new curricula for both Cub Scout & Girl Scout Nights at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium.

Animal Handling Certifications
​
I continue to maintain my animal handling certifications specific to my current role. I have worked with multiple species during my tenure at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium.
